Hi Everyone! This is going to be the cover for my book, The Demon Rolmar. I just received it from CreateSpace today. This is another step toward completing my project. The cover was well worth the wait! I really love it. I really like how the demon’s eyes look. They seem hypnotic to me. What do you guys think?

Update on the Demon Rolmar-3

Image

Hi everyone! I received my edited manuscript yesterday. It only took two weeks for my editor to finish my story, since it’s so short. Wow, there are a lot of things for me to correct. There is so much red on my manuscript!

I was surprised to learn that my editor liked my story and found it entertaining to read. My book is unique and I wasn’t expecting the editor to like it. She suggested that I tweak a few things here and there and add some information about the main character that would be helpful to my readers. All in all, I’m very satisfied with the job she did, although I do have a lot of work ahead of me.  🙂

Update on The Demon Rolmar-2

fantasy3Today is going great! I spoke with a member of my design team today and was pleasantly surprised at the courtesy and helpfulness that was shown to me. I submitted revisions for the interior mock-up, cover design and promotional text. I should have the revised versions of the materials within five days. Until then I’ll just have to wait. 😦

I did some research on different POD(print on demand) publishing companies before choosing Createspace. Createspace offers high royalities, expanded distribution, and professional service. Ultimately, the reason why I chose to go with this company is because a friend of mine had used them for her book. I really loved how professional the book looked when I saw it. I suggest that anyone wishing to self-publish do their research before chosing a company, but my recommendation is definitely Createspace! 🙂

So far my experience with the self-publishing company that I’m using has been great! I received two cover mock-ups within a week and I really liked both of them. I also received an interior design mock-up. The interior of the book has an old world feel to it. It’s exactly what I wanted the interior to look like! I’m very happy with how everything turned out. Hopefully, I’ll receive my edited manuscript within two weeks. Once it arrives I’ll have my work cut out for me, lol. I’m really looking forward to seeing what my editor thinks about my story. I can’t wait!

In the meantime, while I’m waiting, I’ll be working on my collection of short stories. I love writing short stories! I think I prefer writing them to novels. I hope to write 10-15 short stories before I put them together into a book.

Introduction

Hi everyone! I’m a new author who is currently working on a science-fiction novella, The Demon Rolmar. The book will be released in 2-4 months. I’m very excited about the project and hope that readers everywhere will enjoy this book.

Book Description

Rolmar – a heartless and misanthropic demon – serves as one of the three overlords of Pentar, a planet in the Amenis dimension. You wouldn’t want to meet Rolmar, but it looks like you won’t have much of a choice because Rolmar’s brethren have just given him the illustrious task of destroying the Earth. The demon travels to Earth in hopes of destroying the planet without delay. A growing curiosity about humans, however, deters him from carrying out his original plan. Rolmar remains intent on annihilating Earth, yet he extends his stay in order to discover what makes humanity unique.
Adam—a quirky college student—crosses paths with the demon one fateful night that changes Adam’s life forever. Now Adam is haunted by nightmares of the encounter and cannot return to a normal life. Will Adam and his friends be able to convince Rolmar that the Earth is worth saving? And will Rolmar, after having experienced the human condition, be prepared to determine the fate of humanity?
